It is 2021 and League of Legends is still the most popular video game in the world. Now almost 12 years old, it has seen generations of players come and go. But there are still veterans playing that have put an unimaginable amount of time into the game. It is not always easy to know how many games of League did you play so we wrote this guide to help you find that out.
Table of Contents
1. League of Legends Client Stats
League of Legends used to have detailed champion stats in the first years of the game. But then, once the new client arrived the Stat tab in client was lost and players were unable to find out more about them. Luckily, they have been re-added to the game, although they are a mere shadow of what they used to be. Regardless, they are still useful in some regard.
Using them you can check statistics of your champions and how do you fare up against other players of different ranks. They also show you how many games did you play in each game mode depending on the season you select. Just navigate to the Stats tab in the profile section and hover over “Games played”. Do the same for different seasons by changing the filters and add the games up to get the total. Stats go back only to 2018 so continue reading to find out your total lol game number if you played before that. Fun little statistic that was added is number of hours spent on the game.

2. Use 3rd party website op.gg
What seemed like the best way for us to find out how many league games did we play turned out to require most manual work. While op.gg provides more Data than League client does, there is no easy way to add them all up. Instead, we had to calculate our totals manually. Note, it appears that not all of the normal games are shown and that you can see only those from Season 5 onwards. Also, preseason games are not counted in the Ranked champion stats. Thus, for most complete results please use League Client stats in order to find out how many total ranked games you played.
- Go to op.gg
- Select your server and input your Summoner name
- Navigate to Champions Tab
- Select the season you are interested in, or select Normal games
- Add up all of the games using a Calculator
3. Play a game
Whether it is Aram, or a normal game, you can find out how many games did you play in the End game screen. This is definitely the fastest way to find out your total game numbers in normal game modes. Just play a game of the queue that you are interested in and don’t leave the post-game lobby instantly. At the top of the screen there will be shown your total number of wins and losses. Just add those two together and you will see how many total normal games in league of legends you played.
Time Spent on LoL
In order to play many games, you also have to put in many hours into the game. While average user can spend hundreds of hours, more advanced players can play up to thousands and thousands of hours of League. There are several ways to find out how much time you spent and we described them in our guide here.

Total Games to Hit level 30
If you are a new player and you are looking to compete against other players in Ranked mode, you’ll be disappointed to know you need to be level 30 to unlock such modes. Depending if you are going to be using experience boosts or not, it can take up to 150 hours of gameplay to reach level 30. If we translate that to number of games, it will take you about 200-250 games to reach level 30 without any boosts.
Rewards for Playing
In the past player levels were capped at 30. Nowadays there is no such cap and players are rewarded for leveling up. Alongside mandatory blue essence, you can also unlock cool borders and emotes. Furthermore, every 50 levels starting at level 150 you will receive one of the most precious rewards League of Legends has to offer, gemstones.
Conclusion
These three methods were the easiest way we managed to count our League games. When it all added up it ended up being much more than we expected. Did your number surprise you?
