No matter the meta, Jarvan IV is always lurking around. The heir to the throne of Demacia is his nation’s greatest pride. He leads armies to the battles with fearsome courage and selfless determination. On top of that, he’s an exceptional warrior himself.
It’s obvious to see why players fall in love with this amazing champion. While he is mostly played in the jungle, he can sometimes be seen in the top lane, or even as a support.
There are many Jarvan IV skins, so to keep this list short I didn’t include exclusive skins. That means, Victorious Jarvan IV, and Hextech Jarvan are not a part of it. They are both amazing skins in their own right, but almost impossible to obtain. Victorious Jarvan was a reward for players above Gold in Season 1, while it takes 10 Gemstones to acquire Hextech Jarvan.

10. Commando Jarvan IV
Taking part in modern warfare is not easy, especially if you don’t know how to use modern weapons. Even though there are guns attached to J4’s suit, he has no idea how to use them. Instead, he commands his army to battle with nothing but a heavy sword. Now that’s badass!
He wears a green army suit with black sunglasses. Fun fact, there was a period when he would take -1 damage from Leona due to that. The skin costs 520 RP and is his cheapest skin.
9. Darkforge Jarvan IV
The next skin on our list is Darkforge Jarvan IV. The main issue I have with it is the fact it is not unique. It is based on a dragon theme and there was another skin released before it with exactly the same concept.
He wears iron armor with dragon horns on his helmet. There are also small dragon wings attached to his hand armor. Nevertheless, with no animations and subpar appearance, this skin isn’t appealing.
8. Fnatic Jarvan IV
Season 1 World Championship. Wow, that was a long time ago. Since then over a hundred new champions and a countless number of skins were released. Riot made sure we never forget who won with this cool Fnatic skin line.
There are no changes to animations or sound effects. The only difference comes in appearance. Jarvan’s attire is based on Fnatic’s bland and orange colors. Additionally, there is Fnatic’s logo on his chest.
Fnatic J4 isn’t very expensive at just 750 RP. Of course, it doesn’t have many attributes that would make it attractive to players, but it’s a vital part of League of Legends history.

7. Dragonslayer Jarvan IV – Best Budget Skin
This is the real dragon-based J4 skin. In the introduction of this skin, Riot said that he gave up on the throne just to join his countrymen and fight off the dragons.
He has dragon horns attached to his back, and even his armor is made out of dragon scales. Naturally, they’re bright red and fit the theme perfectly.
Sadly, that’s everything that this skin has to offer. Even though it costs just 750 RP, I can’t recommend it to anyone. There are much better skins out there.
6. Warring Kingdoms Jarvan IV
This mighty warrior roams through the Warring Kingdoms in search of worthy opponents. I know that I wouldn’t step in his way.
In the spectacular splash art, he is seen riding a fiery horse. In addition to that, there are also additional quotes specifically made for this skin.
His armor is black, while the finer details are made out of red fabric. The biggest change in the term of animations is in his ultimate ability. Once he locks someone down they are stuck in a rock structure.

5. SSG Jarvan IV
One World’s skin was not enough for this popular champion. After beating powerhouse SKT T1 in 2017 with a stunning performance, Ambition chose Jarvan as a champion to represent in the League of Legends universe.
His armor is decorated with Samsung Galaxy blue colors and a logo. Even his sword is blue. There is a blue light around his Q ability. On top of that players can see SSG’s logo when he uses Golden Aegis. Lastly, he offers a bouquet of flowers during his recall and even Ambition’s signature can be seen.
SSG Jarvan IV costs 1350 RP. Furthermore, it’s a legacy skin and it’s available in the shop only sometimes.
4. Worlds 2021 Jarvan IV
Since we’re already talking about World Championship themes, here’s another one. Riot chose Jarvan as the representative of the 2021 World Championship in Reykjavik. He’s the 10th champion in this skin line, but the first one to be titled Worlds skin. Its predecessors were all called “Championship”.
The skin is very similar to the SSG one. It is also based on blue and white colors. However, it looks much better. Details are precise and elegant, worthy of a king. Some of the animations include creating a throne during a recall, or flashing a world’s logo when using W. Personally, I like the E animation the most. If you are playing support or top J4 then I’d recommend this skin for you. It’s priced at 1350 RP and limited so don’t lose a chance to get it.
3. Lunar Beast Jarvan IV
Coming from a long line of philanthropists, Jarvan feels out of place in the Ox Clan. Balancing the life of a celebrity and business isn’t an easy feat even for the prince himself.
In a rather simple splash art, he’s seen above the city ready for battle. His hair is white with fiery golden horns. His outfit is based on black and red colors.
Moving to the game, his auto attacks slash enemies with fire. The coolest spell is certainly his shield. It has a particular sound effect that can’t be heard on any other Jarvan skin.

2. Dark Star Jarvan IV
If you are a fan of space and dark energies you will love this skin. After the destruction of the world, Jarvan was fueled by ageless energies of deep space. With his people lost forever, he still stands strong in an attempt to fight off the vile force.
The splash art shows a fearless warrior slowly being taken over by the dark star’s energy. His body is changed slightly giving him a supernatural look.
Starting with his recall, Dark Star attempts to drag him into the ground, but mighty Jarvan fights it off. There are no changes to his auto attacks and they look identical to the base skin. However, there are meteors around his Dragon Strike. His ultimate ability Cataclysm locks down the enemies between purple glaciers.
Finally, Dark Star Jarvan IV costs 1350 and also has a voice filter slightly changed the way he sounds.
1. Pool Party Jarvan IV – Best Overall
From the sad, dark mood we are instantly moving to something cheerful. The best J4 skin at the moment is Pool Party Jarvan IV. It places him on the beach, his favorite place to relax at. With no kingdoms to run he can enjoy all the joys of summer.
Wearing nothing but a swimsuit and summer jacket J4 is ready to take on any opponent. Wielding a sword wouldn’t make much sense so it was replaced by something cooler. A summer umbrella! My favorite part of this skin is the recall. He covers himself in sand and crab hands him a drink.
If you are not impressed by that, here’s what else is new on this skin. His auto-attacks splash water around the enemy. In addition to that, his shield is a big water bubble! Using his ultimate ability has never been this fun. It builds a huge sandcastle around the enemy and they can’t do anything about it.
Conclusion
There are many great Jarvan skins, but only one of them is worthy to be called the best. In my opinion, that is Pool Party Jarvan IV. It has very cool and unique animations. Furthermore, there are several chromas that further change the way he looks.
On the other hand, if you want to go for something more serious, then Dark Star Jarvan IV is perfect for you. Voice filter makes him unique and even the backstory is fascinating.
